Warmth and coverage above the waist
The insulated version carries 40 g/m² of filling. Its high upper section adds coverage where a jacket and waist pants can separate, while the lower half has a looser cut.
A lined-shell version is also available, but it does not include that insulation. For colder days, wear the insulated bib with a base layer suited to the forecast.
Wet snow and wear around the boots
SHIELD-TEC fabric and fully taped seams provide the waterproof protection. Zipped, mesh-backed vents allow airflow when you heat up, without having to open the whole front of the bib.
Ripstop reinforcement covers the hems and inner ankles. Zipped gussets widen the lower openings over boots, and nonslip gaiters with lace hooks help keep loose snow from working upward.
Adjusting the bib
Elastic suspenders set the height, and snap adjustment at the waist lets you bring the middle closer to your body. A front-access zipper makes entry easier than pulling the entire upper section over your shoulders.
The extra torso coverage is useful on cold days, but it also means more fabric around you than waist pants. If you tend to overheat, consider the uninsulated version or a shell alternative rather than expecting the vents to cancel out the filling.
Where we suggest it
- Davos in January: The insulated bib suits cold lift rides and helps cover the gap below the jacket.
- Châtel in January: Taped seams and boot gaiters are useful for snowy days; adjust the base layer for the colder upper slopes.
