Visit analytics
We use Statcounter to understand which pages people visit and how they find the site. When analytics is on, your browser contacts Statcounter. Visit information can include the page URL, referring page, time of visit, browser and device information, IP address and approximate location. Cookies help distinguish new and returning visitors.
We do not require accounts or use advertising trackers. Our packing list and gear matcher work in your browser; we do not send their form selections as analytics events. Session-replay scripts are blocked by the site's security policy.
Statcounter processes visit information for this service. Its privacy information explains its handling of data and international processing. Outgoing product links lead to separate websites with their own policies.
Your cookie settings
Open cookie settings to accept or reject analytics. You can also use the Cookie settings link in every footer. Rejecting analytics does not restrict the site.
For visitors identified as being in the United States, analytics starts automatically unless they have rejected it or their browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. Everywhere else, including the United Kingdom and Europe, analytics stays off until you accept. We also wait for consent if we cannot determine a country.
We remember your choice on this browser for up to 180 days. Withdrawing consent stops further tracking and may reload the page. It does not erase visit information already received by Statcounter. Choices are separate on different browsers and devices.
Cookies and browser storage
Your saved choice
The first-party cookie and local-storage entry ac_analytics_consent record whether you accepted or rejected analytics, when you chose, and the policy version. They are used to remember your preference, not to count visits. If your browser blocks storage, we may need to ask again.
Your packing checklist
The packing checklist saves your selected options and checked items in this browser under ac_packing_list_v1 for 30 days after use. This is separate from analytics and is not sent to us. Use “Clear checkmarks” to reset the checklist, or clear this site's browser storage to remove its saved options too.
Statcounter cookies
Statcounter documents a first-party visitor cookie, sc_is_visitor_unique, with a duration of up to two years, and a third-party cookie, is_unique, lasting up to five years. These recognize returning visits. Browser settings may block third-party cookies. Statcounter can also use browser storage for visitor and session information; see its cookie documentation.
When you reject analytics, we remove known Statcounter cookies and storage that this site can access. We cannot remove cookies belonging to Statcounter's own domain; you can clear those through your browser settings. Your saved rejection prevents this site from loading the tracker again while that choice remains valid.
Hosting and country detection
Cloudflare Pages serves the site and processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the service. We ask our own Cloudflare endpoint for a country code to choose the consent behavior. We do not request your device's precise location or store your IP address in the consent record. If this check fails, analytics stays off until you accept.
