Picture Object Pants

The Object pants combine light insulation with a straight fit, thigh vents and reinforced hems. They are a conventional waist-pant alternative to a bib for resort days that need both warmth and some airflow.

Light insulation for lift-served days

A 40 g/m² polyester filling adds warmth beneath the waterproof outer. The filling provides warmth on lift rides, but cannot be removed on warmer days.

The straight cut includes shaping at the waist and knees. An elastic waistband and belt loops let you adjust the fit without suspenders or the extra upper-body coverage of a bib.

Waterproofing and thigh vents

Dryplay fabric and fully taped seams protect against water getting through the material and its stitching. Boot gaiters help keep loose snow out underneath, while the reinforced hems deal with wear around the cuffs.

Zipped thigh openings provide direct ventilation. That makes them useful for mixed-temperature resort days, although a shell remains easier to dress lightly in if you regularly overheat or spend long periods climbing.

Pockets and boot fit

Zipped hand pockets provide simple storage without a large bib panel. The regular leg shape is closer to conventional ski pants than a loose, gathered-cuff design.

Try the leg length with ski boots on: the reinforced hem should cover the boot without trailing under it. Keep the snow gaiter around the outside of the boot rather than tucking it inside, where the fabric can create pressure.

Where we suggest it

  • Davos in March: Insulation suits a cold start; thigh vents help as lower slopes become milder.
  • Châtel in February: A practical insulated option for cold higher runs, with airflow available when you are skiing hard.
